Oh yeah, I have a blogspot.

Hello, all... none of you? I haven't told many people about my ('scuse me, 'our') blog yet, so chances are, no one is reading it! Except for maybe Lauren N, soon-to-be-J. I briefly told her I started one months ago, but I think she gave up hope on me. Well, it is 12:55in the A.M. on this July 2nd, and I realized that I have a lot to say.
I am quite irritated. There are just some things that shouldn't be around anymore. For one, toe rings. Really? I mean, are people still wearing these? I wore toe rings when I was not allowed to pierce anything. I think I wore like, 8 at a time until I finally pierced my nose, at which point it went down to 3, then when I pierced my lip, I had reached my limit of bad-assness and eliminated the toe rings from my heart-shaped jewelry box (being born on Valentine's day, I have heart-shaped everything. Heart-shaped pancakes, anyone?). Second thing that must go, scrunchies. I thought this was a well known fact, but I ventured to West Valley the other day (and by other day, i mean a month ago), and was horrified by the amount of people who are still rockin' the velvet scrunchies! Unless you are an 8 year old on some sort of competitive gymnastics team, that is just wrong. Shit, I think if I had an 8 year old in gymnastics, I would feel like it was my sworn duty to give her a regular, adult, elastic hairband. But that's just me.
Next. Names from the 80s. I don't necessarily thing they need to go, they just need to be bestowed upon people who know how to ROCK! For example, there was a girl named Shawna in one of my many, many, classes at the U of U. And she was a sweet, shy, pretty basic girl. I'm sorry, but if your name is Shawna, or Tiffany, or Gem. or whatever... you better have a serious perm, wearing leg-warmers, and listening to Cinderella on your discman (not ipod. you must have a discman)! Maybe I am being too harsh on the name thing. I mean, after all, my name is Beth. Sounds like an obese milkmaid from the 1920s. My boyfriend will never admit that he doesn't like my name. In the 5 years we have been together, I think I have heard him call me 'Beth' a total of 8 times. And it is generally when I am in trouble. Or say something silly. Like when I thought the phrase "blow a gasket" was "blow a casket". Still makes sense to me. When you are so angry, you feel like if you were dead you would just bust right out of your casket? Yeah, I have reached that level of anger before.
Other than that, I have thoughts about how funny little kids are. Like, I know I did it, too, but I love when little kids say they are "going out" with someone... where the hell are you going? I guess I shouldn't underestimate kids today. In PC, middle schoolers weren't allowed to sit in the last 4 rows of the bus for a while because they were, *ahem* 'doing things' to each other. So I guess some kids were "going" somewhere... like South. I also loved when I was little, I used to tell my parents that such-and-such person "used" someone.., and my parents would respond with, "used" them for what?". "You know, they just USED them!" I miss those days of being used for the sake of being used. Then you get older, and you are actually used for STUFF. Like money, There is a hippie in Hawaii somewhere that owes me some money and a jeep. And a dog.
Anyway, those are my only thoughts for now. Back to watching Across the Universe. I don't really like this movie, but I miss Andrea Robinson so damn much that I am watching it to feel close to her! For those who don't know, Andrea is the most awesome girl in the world and one of my bestest friends, who is in Jordan for the summer. Yeah, I know all you Utahns are thinking, 'so what? that's like, 25 minutes away!' As exciting as Jordan, Utah is, I am talking about Jordan the country. Waaaay over yonder! I love you, Dre! Read my blog!
G'night moon! G'night balls.
Beth.
